Welcome to the Summer 2009 edition of the General News, the website newsletter from Billings Army Navy Surplus Store, Inc. The largest genuine military retailer in the Northwest.
Summer has finally come to our part of the world. Everyone is looking forward to the coming months and getting into the great outdoors. As always, we have accumulated some of the greatest values in genuine military gear, sure to peak your interest. Many of these items are limited quantities and all are exceptional values.
 First and foremost, we have a limited amount of Vietnam era US military hospital bunk beds. What a find! These are new, steel-framed, and dated from the 1960's. They are oversized, heavy-duty, and built to last. They can be purchased as single beds or as stacked bunk bed sets. They are great for Church camps, shelters, bunk houses, hunting camps and emergency use. Grab a few sets while we’ve got them.
 Another wonderful surplus find are the English military camp kitchens, complete with propane four burner stove. These are the ultimate outdoor cooking unit I am sure the English government paid tens of thousands of dollars for these. They come complete with everything, including the kitchen sink! Take a look at the pictures on our site and call with any questions. Quantities are limited. These would be great for family reunions, festivals or fairs, hunting camps, outfitters, and anywhere there is a need for complete outdoor cooking.
We just received a large quantity of the Swiss Army cooler boxes. These boxes are super-insulated and very similar to the US Mermite can. They are slightly bigger and much heavier. They are great for back-country horse packing, raft trips, and anywhere you need to keep things cold. These will truly hold the ice.
Military Essentials
One of the most practical items the service ever produced is the canvas GI Duffle bag. These are the real thing, not the made-in-China copy. They are as-new with a single shoulder strap and locking top. Use them for luggage, storing camping gear, laundry bags, and all your dry storage needs.
Back in stock are the Chinese military AK-47 Chest Rigs . This Vintage 7-pocket rig is designed to hold AK-47 magazines, loose rounds, etc. There are three tall center pouches measuring 9"T x 3"W x 2"D. The four side pouches (2 on each side), measure 3 ½ “ T x 3"W x 2"D. All pouches have flap covers with wood toggle closures. Heavy adjustable canvas webbing shoulder straps have leather keepers. A vintage find and very rare. We had been out of stock with this popular item for over a year, so don’t delay they won’t last long. Don’t forget to check out all our other Chinese military items.
We just received a large stock of Genuine GI paracord in 21' lengths . It is available in olive drab, or white and in braided. Throw a hank in your backpack, your hunting gear, your survival equipment, your ATV, and in the glove-box of your car or truck. It’s an affordable, practical, essential.
On a little different note, we acquired a large inventory of military-issue razor wire. It can be purchased by the single roll or five-packs. In these trying times a little security perimeter might provide a little peace of mind.
With summer coming, shade can be hard to find. We have many military surplus camo nets , including 8 x 8 and 8 x 16. Use them for shade to camouflage something or for decoration. We also have new and used GI fiberglass net spreaders in stock. This makes for easy erection of these nets. We also have, brand-new military 34' cotton parachutes. These are olive drab and also work well with the net spreaders for building shade and camouflage.
On a collector’s note: We received a large quantity of US Army WWII era 50 cal. ammo cans . These are as-new stored, complete with manufacturer’s stamp and the US symbol with the flaming bomb. These are the side-opening water proof ammo box. Store your valuables, or add one to your collection.
